The LPGA & Innovation

I am a LPGA Class A golf professional and an Inventor! You may think these two professions aren't related but indeed they are! 

Teaching golf to people is all about problem solving. Someone is hitting the ball offline? How do you explain to them what is happening in order to solve their problem? How do you look at that person and figure out what part is causing the issue for them? That is what innovation is. I am a problem solver. 

With that in mind, I have really enjoyed teaching and inventing. One feeds the other. The InfusenClip came directly out of wanting to make custom ball markers for my students. These custom hand painted golf ball markers would not stay on the metal hat clips and so I created a rubber magnetic clip to hold the markers. The rubber smelled horrible! Since I literally was making them in my apartment, I decided one day to add citronella to the mixture. When I gave it to my golf students, they recognized immediately that this was an invention that they had not seen before! 

I got my patent and my LPGA Class A in the same month, December 2021! So yes innovation and golf will always be tied together for me!
